Our Love Story...

We allowed our wedding website to expire, but saved our stories.  These were written in October of 2008

Chad's Story:

I had seen her several times at her work. I was instantly attracted to her but never had an opportunity to talk to her. That and I'm a bit of a chicken so I didn't exactly make an opportunity. I assumed she probably had a boyfriend and was content admiring her from a distance. One night, however, I had my chance... and THANK GOD she spoke to me first! The first words she ever spoke to me were " you clean up real nice" (a haircut and a shave can do wonders). All it took was one conversation and she had me. I was smitten.

It only took a few weeks for me to know she was the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. She is everything I want. She is strong, independent, intelligent, funny, beautiful, and so much more. She just "gets" me, plain and simple. I have never felt more comfortable around anyone in my life. I can be myself, and that's enough. I feel like a better man when I am with her and she makes me believe that I can do ANYTHING. Her faith makes my faith stronger and I know that our relationship is a gift from God. I wasn't quite sure before why God wanted me to move to Louisiana, but now I know. It was to find the love of my life.

I was nervous about being with a woman who had children. It didn't take long, however, for all those fears to be put to rest. Jaelyn and Zachary are smart, beautiful and loving children and I adore them. I am so thankful that they are a part of my life. Andrea is an awesome mother to them and I can't wait to have more children with her.

God has truly blessed me and I am thankful everyday.

Andrea's Story:

I met him one night while I was working. Here was this big burly lumberjack looking guy that I'd been seeing on a regular basis since last fall...he had gotten a hair cut and trimmed up his beard. Truly divine intervention...because this was my first opportunity to speak with him at work...and I had a good excuse! He cleaned up real nice, so I had to tell him. And, yeah, that was the first thing I said to him...but I couldn't help myself...the man is ADORABLE...with the most incredible smile I've ever seen! From the moment we first spoke, I knew that I needed to know him. Everything about him intrigued me, from the reason he came down to Louisiana, the way he loves his family, to his tattoos.

I fell in love with him from day one. In just a few weeks, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. He is everything I've ever desired in a man, yet I didn't believe existed. I adore him. He is the perfect compliment to me. When I am a high strung mess, he is my calming peace. I love his heart. I love his sense of humor...We laugh, so much. I have never felt so loved in my life, and I have never loved a man so deeply. He adores my children, and they love him dearly. We have never been so happy. I can't wait to have his babies.

I couldn't ask for more. He is our gift from God. I thank God for Chad every day.

Welcome to our blog....

I'm probably going to be spending way more time here than Chad....but he may surprise me...us.  He's full of surprises :)

I love to share what's going on with us, so I figured this would be a good way to do it.   Besides, there is not enough room on facebook for all my rantings....
